Emma K. Grigg, M.A., Ph.D., is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB; Animal Behavior Society, U.S.), a lecturer and research associate at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, and a lecturer in canine behavior at Bergin College of Canine Studies in Penngrove, California. She received her Masterโ€™s degree in animal behavior and physiology from San Francisco State University (emphasis on environmental enrichment), and her Ph.D. in integrative ecology at the University of California, Davis (emphasis on anthropogenic influences on animal behavior). She taught clinical animal behavior at Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts for four years before returning to UC Davis to work with Dr. Lynette Hart on research focusing on animal behavior and welfare, assistance dogs, and human-animal interactions. Dr. Grigg has authored a number of scientific publications and book chapters on canine, feline, and marine mammal behavior.
