Join us in a one-of-a-kind virtual Summit and learn from world-renowned veterinary experts about all that we can and should be doing to help our canine companions living with seizure disorders - specifically epilepsy. Throughout this series we'll be discussing all aspects of epilepsy and how we can help affected dogs thrive and enjoy a best quality of life with their human counterparts. The Summit will be held live, online and recorded for viewing On Demand (after the live air dates). The sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30p-9:30p ET and will include time for Q/A with the panel of experts. Expect to come away with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of canine epilepsy including: - The trajectory or progression of canine epilepsy. - Health-related challenges that patients may experience and how to manage them. - The holistic management of canine epilepsy including both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options. - Antiepileptic medications, nutrition / supplements, and complementary / integrative modalities that can help. - How to monitor patients and change treatment plans to best care for individuals - every animal is different! Treatment is not a one-size-fits-all approach. - The costs of care and how to manage them: financial, physical, and emotional. How we can best support pet owners in caring for these animals.
